Our friends at the Society of Hickory Golfers remind those of us who enjoy hickory golf that May 5, the first Sunday in the month, is set aside to celebrate the sport. World Hickory Golf Day is an opportunity to share your enjoyment of the game through playing the sport with friends, trade shows and hickory golf demonstrations, or just getting together and “talking” golf should inclement weather in your area yet prevent access to the links.
The SoHG invites you to take photos of your hickory golf activity on that day, post them to your favorite social media sites, or send them to Greg Smith, the World Hickory Golf Day coordinator for the SoHG, at hickorysmith500@gmail.com. We’ll set up links to enjoy the photos of golfers throughout the world celebrating hickory golf.
