As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen membership and further the mission of the Society, the GHS has revitalized its Speakers Bureau service.
The Society will offer volunteer speakers on a no-fee basis for various golf related meetings including club member-guest dinners, club anniversary and centennial celebrations, competition dinners, luncheon meetings, junior events including First Tee chapters, and PGA Section and state golf association events.
Sample topics might include:
- Unique events within the history of the game
- Evolution of the rules of golf
- Development of golf in ancient Scotland
- Development of golf in North America
- History of golf equipment – clubs and/or balls (usually accompanied by a show and tell with golf collectibles)
