Silent Auction donations wanted

One of the 2018 Silent Auction donations was this painting by artist Bob Fletcher.

Dick McDonough wants your golf memorabilia.

The GHS Region 2 Director is soliciting items for the Golf Heritage Society’s Silent Auction, annually held during the Society’s general meeting and trade show. Monies raised are placed into a designated fund to benefit various Society programs and initiatives, among them the Junior Scholarship Fund, marketing, and website upgrades and maintenance. In 2018, the auction raised $2,550.

The 2019 GHS Annual Meeting & Trade show is scheduled for Sept. 26-28 at the Holiday Inn-Rockside in Cleveland, Ohio. The Silent Auction will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, from the opening of the trade show until about 1 p.m. Bids can be placed on bid sheets near the auction items which will be on display. Live bidding is held after the dinner during the banquet.

Dick reports that Ron Stewart of Queensbury, N.Y., has already made a donation of three replica feathery golf balls to get the donations flowing. Thank you, Ron, for getting the ball rolling, so to speak.

Should you have an item(s) you’d like to donate, please contact any of the gentlemen listed below. They’ll help you arrange to get the donation to the meeting.
