Gene Littler dies at 88

Hall of Famer Gene Littler passed away at age 88 on Feb. 15, 2019 in his hometown of San Diego, Calif. His nickname was “Gene the Machine” for his methodical way of relentlessly attacking fairways and greens. He was inducted into the World Hall of Fame in 1990. His final win on the tour was the Houston Open in 1977. Overall, he won 47 tournaments in his career. Many stories and articles about Littler can be found on the internet.
