The Muirfield “Dozen” make history

Twelve women have been invited to join the Muirfield Golf Club, one of the last strongholds of male-dominated golf clubs in the world. Alistair Campbell, Muirfield’s captain, announced the news in a press release in late June. It is a first in the 275-year history of the club. The lucky, depending on their reception, new women members will be received into the club on July 12. The decision to accept women members was made in 2017.
