The outstanding collection belonging to the Los Angeles Country Club was featured in Great Golf Collections of the World (McDonough/Georgiady, 2013). It was one of the club’s founding members, Joseph F. Sartori who was responsible or purchasing the legendary Hope-Ware Collection and bringing it to the club for display. The collection, wrote Dick McDonough “…contains clubs that date to about 1790, representing a ‘who’s who’ of early Scottish clubmakers…” This collection has recently been featured in an article posted by writer Judd Spicer to the Fore Magazine website.
