This little chap was discovered whilst browsing through the Mullock’s Auction website for its Jan. 27-28, 2021 auction of golf memorabilia and other sporting goods. Someone, somewhere, somewhen thought it a good idea to remove a portion of the hosel, both in front and to the rear. It seems a capital job, well rounded and smoothed. The insert of the shaft is revealed and some lead was added to the already rounded back of the club. It was listed as Lot 742 in the auction. Why on earth…? A curio to be sure.
